Residential, Ambleside - Restoration of this house (built in the seventeenth century), was an important gentleman's residence on the main road through Ambleside. The barn was attached to the house at a later date, evident by the roughcast and projecting chimney found on the gable in the barn, and was converted along with the workshop to residential use. The house has a cobbled forecourt, barn doors and slated canopy have all been retained to maintain the exterior character of the property to the street.
