Architecture for us, grows out of the relationship between, on the one hand, the functional requirements of the building and on the other, the particular characteristics of the site in which the building is to be located. The building must work, but it must also work within its context. This toilet facility was required by the National Trust at Tarn Hows, in the heart of the Lake District National Park with 300-400,000 visitors throughout the year. Haigh Architects proposed a two storey circular building, built into the existing hillside. The building will use local random stone walls, green slate roof with timber roof structure and a glass block clerestory. A roof light to provide daylight to the interior.

This project received all approvals, however has not been realised due to funding.
